Home / Our Standards

Built on standards.
Not promises.

Unregulated youth football puts children at risk. That is why we follow the Ogun State Football Association (OGSFA) standards on every match, every coach, and every community we serve. This page explains exactly what we commit to — and what you should expect from us.

Why We Have Standards

A child stepping onto a football pitch is placing their trust in the adults around them. That trust requires more than good intentions. It requires structure — ambulances on standby, security at the gates, qualified medical personnel, and coaches who have been vetted.

Standards are not paperwork. They are the difference between a match that builds a child up and a match that ends in a hospital bed.

Match-Day Standards

Five pillars. Every match.

For every competitive fixture we organise, these five requirements must be met and recorded before kickoff. If any one of them fails, the match does not happen.

01

Ambulance on standby

An emergency vehicle and trained crew are present at the venue for the entire match. This is non-negotiable.

02

Security presence

Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, or accredited community security are stationed at the venue to protect players and spectators.

03

Certified medical personnel

A licensed nurse, certified first aider, or community health worker is present with proper equipment.

04

Certified referee

A trained and licensed referee officiates the match. Neutral, fair, and accountable to the league.

05

Inspected venue

The pitch, goalposts, and surrounding area are inspected before kickoff. Safety hazards are corrected or the match is moved.

Child Protection

Every child is protected. First. Always.

We run a zero-tolerance policy on abuse, harassment, and exploitation. These are the specific commitments we make to every parent and guardian who trusts us with their child.

○

Background checks on all coaches

Every coach who works directly with children agrees to a background check as part of the application process.

○

Two-adult rule at every training session

No coach is alone with a child. At least two adults must be present at all sessions — no exceptions.

○

Written code of conduct

Every coach, volunteer, and staff member signs a code of conduct that clearly defines acceptable behaviour.

○

Independent reporting channel

Any parent, player, or community member can report a concern anonymously through our public fraud and abuse reporting page.

○

Immediate removal and referral

Any credible report of abuse is acted on immediately: the individual is removed from contact with children and referred to the appropriate authorities.

Financial Integrity

No agents. No fees. Ever.

Our Code of Conduct

What every coach, volunteer, and staff member signs.

  1. Respect every child. Every child is treated with dignity regardless of age, gender, ability, or background.
  2. No discrimination of any kind. We actively include girls, children with disabilities, and children from every community.
  3. Zero tolerance for abuse. Physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse is grounds for immediate removal and reporting to authorities.
  4. No substance use around children. No alcohol, smoking, or illicit substances are permitted at training sessions or matches.
  5. No financial transactions with families. Coaches never accept money, gifts, or favours from parents or players.
  6. Reliability and communication. Coaches show up when they commit to showing up, and inform the foundation when they cannot.
  7. Report concerns immediately. Any coach who witnesses abuse or misconduct must report it through our reporting channel the same day.
  8. Prioritise education. Football never comes before a child's schooling. We adjust schedules during exam periods.
If something goes wrong

We want to know.
We will act on it.

Every report is read. Every verified case is acted on. You can report anonymously. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the authorities first.
